Visit from China
We received the visit of researchers from the School of Life Sciences, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in the framework of the DAAD/CSC funded project in the field of nanostructured bioactive coatings for orthopedic applications.
Ms Hongfei Qi (PhD student) and Prof. Liting Lu are visiting the Institute of Biomaterials, pictured with Ms Svenja Heise and Mr Juncen Zhou (FAU investigators in the project), and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini.
The project, which is in its second year, involves the development of novel organic-inorganic coatings by electrophoretic deposition and dip-coating methods, also in collaboration with the group of Prof. Virtanen in the FAU Chair for Surface Science and Corrosion.
