We congratulate Jennifer Hermann, who successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Synthesis and characterization of (Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 ferro-piezoelectric ceramics for bone tissue engineering” on 23rd July 2021. Jennifer carried out her doctoral project in co-tutelle (joint supervision), with academic supervisors Prof. Dr.-Ing. Juan Muñoz Saldaña, at Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN – Querétaro (CINVESTAV),  Mexico, and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini at FAU. Prof. Boccaccini said: “I congratulate Jennifer on the successful defense of her doctoral thesis. This is the first doctoral thesis carried out in our Institute in co-tutelle, which results from our collaboration with Prof. Juan Muñoz Saldaña at CINVESTAV-Querétaro. I therefore highlight the hard work involved, with research activities carried out both in the CINVESTAV laboratories in Mexico and in our Institute, which has led to a highly interdisciplinary project with very interesting results”. We wish Jennifer all the best in her future career.
