FunGlass project: Ms Fulden Dogrul finalises research training period

Another training in the framework of the EU Funded (H2020) _FunGlass (Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass)_ (LINK: https://www.funglass.eu/ ) project has been completed at the Institute of Biomaterials in Erlangen. Ms Fulden Dogrul is a PhD student based at Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin, Slovakia, supervised by Prof. Dusan Galusek, who carried out a 9 month training period in our Institute. The project, in collaboration also with Prof. Enrico Bernardo at University of Padova, Italy, involves the development and characterisation of advanced porous bioceramic components for biomedical applications, using additive manufacturing and foaming technology for bone tissue regeneration. Her training included also biological characterization and antibacterial properties testing and it was coordinated by Dr. Liliana Liverani and supervised by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini.
