Four Alexander v. Humboldt Foundation fellowship holders carrying out research in our Institute

We are proud to host currently four top biomaterials scientists, holders of fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the Institute of Biomaterials: Dr. Farnaz Ghorbani, post-doctoral researcher working on composite scaffolds for osteochondral tissue engineering, Prof. Josefina Ballarre (INTEMA, Mar del Plata, Argentina), working on bioactive and antibacterial coatings for orthopedic implants, Ass. Prof. Duygu Ege ( Boğaziçi University, Turkey), working on bioactive glass containing fibers for nerve repair, and Dr. Sara Pourshahrestani, post-doctoral researcher working on hemostatic materials for wound healing.
