Our Institute had a very prominent participation at the 26th International Congress on Glass (ICG2022)
The 26th International Congress on Glass (ICG2022) took place in Berlin on 3-8 July 2022. Prof. Boccaccini was a member of the scientific organizing committe and co-organised the symposium “Emerging Glass Applications and Application-related Challenges”. He co-chaired the symposium “Glasses in Healthcare”. Several PhD students of the Institute, Faina Bider, Zoya Hadzhieva, Usanee Pantulap, Nurshen Mutlu (FunGlass) presented posters at the Congress. Moreover Qaisar Nawaz (PhD student), German Clavijo (FunGlass, visiting researcher in our Institute) and Prof. Boccaccini (stepping in for Marcela Arango-Ospina who was ill) gave oral contributions in the symposium “Glasses in Healthcare”. In addition, members of FunGlass project attended the special session “FunGlass” at ICG 2022. Prof. Boccaccini attended also the meeting of the Technical Committee TC04 (Bioglasses) of the International Commission on Glass (ICG) , of which he has been a member for more than 15 years.
