The UK-Germany Workshop “Sustainable Healthcare: Lessons from Covid” took place online on 1st – 2nd August 2022. This is an initiative of Prof. Peter Ogrodnik, School of Pharmacy & Bioengineering, Keele University, UK, and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, in the framework of the British Council funded Going Global Partnerships “Researcher Links Challenge Grants”. This collaborative workshop supported the discussion and better understanding of the issues arising and lessons learned from the Covid pandemic and, following an interactive participation of the attendees, led to the development of research project pre-proposals designed to alleviate said issues. More than 20 participants from 7 countries attended the workshop, including 5 members of our Institute. The initiative will continue with the establishment of a network to expand the interdisciplinary collaboration initiated at the workshop.
