Our Institute had an active contribution to the success of the Materials Science and Engineering MSE Congress (MSE 2022) held in Darmstadt, Germany, and in hybrid format on 27 – 29 September 2022, a DGM (German Materials Society) conference. Prof. Boccaccini was a coordinator of the Topic “Biomaterials” with Prof. Corneila Lee-Thedieck, University Hannover. He also organised the symposium “Biomaterials Applications” with Prof. Sahar Salehi (Bayreuth) and Prof. Xanthippi  Chatzistavrou (Greece), and he was the chair of several sessions during the conference. He also chaired the plenary session in which Prof. Daniel Cohn (Israel) presented the biomaterials related plenary talk. Ms Sonja Kuth, PhD student, presented the oral contribution: “Optimization of material parameters of an oxidized hyaluronic acid based bioink for soft tissue engineering”. Moreover, Ms Zoya Hadzhieva, PhD student, won the Best Poster Award (topic Biomaterials) for her poster, co-authored with Prof. Aldo R.
