Our Institute present at KMM-VIN / ViCEM / ESB workshop: “Biomedical and bioinspired materials and structures: a cross-disciplinary approach” in Vienna

Dr. Fatih Erdem Baştan, a visiting Postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Biomaterials, and Mrs. Zoya Hadzhieva, a PhD student at the Institute participated in the Joint KMM-VIN / ViCEM / ESB cross-disciplinary workshop: “Biomedical and bioinspired materials and structures: a cross-disciplinary approach” held on 22-23 September at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria. The workshop was organized by the European Virtual Institute on Knowledge-based Multifunctional Materials AISBL (KMM-VIN) in collaboration with ViCEM and the Austrian Chapter of the European Society of Biomechanics and presented the most recent advances in material science and technology among leading research centres and industries. Dr. Baştan and Mrs. Hadzhieva delivered oral presentations on the topics of electrophoretic deposition of coatings for biomedical applications. Prof. Boccaccini is the coordinator of the Working Group “Biomaterials” within KMM-VIN and member of the KMM VIN board.
