Final meeting of project “EPD BioCoat” (NCN-DFG Polish-German Funding Initiative)

The members of EPD Biocoat on a zoom call.

The final meeting of the 3-year research project “Development of electrophoretic co-deposition of bioactive and antibacterial ceramics with biodegradable polymers to produce novel composite coatings for biomedical applications” (EPD BioCoat) took place online on 11th  July 2023. Ms Zoya Hadzhieva (PhD student) and Prof. Boccaccini attended the meeting for our Institute. The project was carried out in our Institute (principal investigator: Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini) in collaboration with colleagues at the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science, AGH University of Science and Technology  (principal investigator: Prof. Tomasz Moskalewicz). The project was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in Germany and the National Science Centre (NCN) (in Poland). There have been already six published joint papers in the framework of this project and several manuscripts are in preparation. The results have been presented at numerous national and international conferences. The two most recent publications are listed below {1,2].
