Doctoral thesis success: Micael Alonso Frank
On 11th December 2017 Micael Alonso Frank successfully defended his doctoral thesis in the field of development and characterisation of superhydrophobic surfaces, which was carried out under the supervision of Professor Sanna Virtanen at the Institute of Surface Science and Corrosion and co-supervised by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. In addition to Profs. Virtanen and Boccaccini, Prof. Kyle Webber (FAU Institute for Glass and Ceramics) and Prof. Nicolas Vogel (Department of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering, FAU), were the members of the doctoral defense committee (pictured with M.
