On 16th January 2018 Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini and Qaisar Nawaz (PhD student) attended the DFG project meeting at Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems (IMWS), group Nanomaterials and Nanoanalytics (GNN) (Head: Prof. Dr. Thomas Höche), in Halle, Germany. The project is a joint research effort in the field of advanced microstructural characterisation of bioactive glasses and glass-ceramics in which researchers from IMWS Halle, the Institute of Biomaterials at FAU and the group of Prof. Delia Brauer, at Otto Schott Institute of Materials Research, University of of Jena, are collaborating. In the photo Prof. Delia Brauer (University of Jena), Ms Gloria Kirste (University of Jena), Ms Altair Contreras (University of Jena), Dr. Araceli de Pablos-Martín (IMWS), Dr. Christian Patzig (IMWS), Mr Qaisar Nawaz (Biomaterials Erlangen) and Prof. Aldo R.
