EU Project AMITIE: meeting in Berlin

Teilnehmer des AMITIE Treffens in Berlin

The progress meeting of the EU (Horizon 2020) project “Additive Manufacturing Initiative for Transnational Innovation in Europe” (AMITIE) (Marie Skłodowska Curie Grant Agreement 734342), was held in Berlin, Germany on 14-15 May 2018. Prof. Boccaccini attended the meeting representing the Institute of Biomaterials. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Jens Guenster, Ceramic Processing and Biomaterials division, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM). The AMITIE consortium is composed of 18 partners from academia and industry from six EU countries and 1 third country. AMITIE involves 195 person-months of secondments bringing together leading academic and industrial European players in the fields of materials science and processes and AM technologies applied to the fabrication of functional and/or structural ceramic-based materials for energy/transport, and ICTs applications, as well as biomaterials. The final goal of the AMITIE project is to promote research and innovation in Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics through international and intersectoral staff exchange. The project coordinator is Prof. Fabrice Rossignol (Institute of Research for Ceramics, Limoges, France), pictured with Prof. Boccaccini.
