On 16-30 November 2019, we received the visit of Dr. Beatriz Araoz, researcher affiliated with the “Lab3Bio  – Laboratorio de Biomateriales, Biomecánica y Bioinstrumentación”, School of Science and Technology, National University of San Martin (UNSAM), Argentina. The visit was in the framework of our BAYLAT funded bilateral project with the Lab3Bio group at UNSAM. The LAb3Bio group is led by Prof. Elida Ermida and the project involves exchanges of senior researchers and PhD students working in the field of 3D printing of bioactive scaffolds. Dr. Araoz presented the seminar: “3D printing of biopolymers: from scientific research to a case report”. She carried out cell biology studies in the laboratories of the Institute of Biomaterials. We discussed to continue collaboration in the same field, considering the incorporation of different compositions of bioactive glasses in 3D printed biopolymer scaffolds intended for bone regeneration.
