Hsuan-Heng Lu, Jonas Roeder (PhD students), Dr. Rainer Detsch and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (pictured) attended the retreat of the Collaborative Research Centre TRR/SFB 225 “From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models”,  held on 10-12 October 2022 in Lichtenfels. Susanne Heid (PhD student) also attended. TRR225 is funded by German Research Foundation (DFG), it is in the second funding period, and is investigating fundamentals of biofabrication and its systematic exploitation to generate functional human tissue models in a 12-year perspective. Researchers from three Universities (University of Würzburg, University of Bayreuth and University of Erlangen-Nuremberg) are involved in the consortium. Prof. Boccaccini is the speaker for the Erlangen, which includes active principal investigators from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and the University Hospital Erlangen (UKER). Prof. Boccaccini is also a member of the TRR225 board.
